Three amazing, inspiring pieces of pottery, from artists Curtis Stewardson, Kyle Carpenter and Wayne Hewell. When I see works of art such as these, I can't help but feel that nudge... that push to explore my own modest creativity. I've had plenty of those nudges over the years. Sometimes I think what I really need is someone to just give me a big shove right off this safe rock I've been perched on for so long. Of course, that's easier said than done, unfortunately.

I've been needing the same nudge-thing too... I totally get it. It's just hard... I'm preaching next week about living out of the "theology of fear"...because I recognize that's sort of where I'm at, and invariably, it's where the church lives quite a bit of time. The church lives out of the "what if it fails" or "what if no one comes" or "what if we run out of money," which loops in the background. I, on the other hand, live out of the "I'm not good enough" or "what if no one likes it" or "what if I fail," loop.

If you fail, you are not a failure. I believe this in my core... about others.
